Kevin Love was suspended two games for an incident where he stepped on Luis Scola's face in Saturday's win over Houston, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. He'll miss games Tuesday and Wednesday.

Love maintained he stepped on Scola's face as an accident, but the league saw otherwise.

02.06.12

Jeremy Lin will start at point guard for the Knicks on Monday against the Jazz, the Bismarck Tribune reports.

Impact:

Jason Smith (concussion) is expected to miss Monday's game against the Kings, the Times-Picayune reports.

LaDontae Henton had 17 points, six rebounds and two steals during Sunday's overtime loss to West Virginia.

Impact:
Henton shot 6-of-8 from the floor, including an impressive 5-of-6 from three point land, in 42 minutes, a season-high. He's now scored at least 12 points in seven straight games and has played at least 39 minutes in each game over that span.

02.06.12

Bryce Cotton had 15 points, four rebounds and three assists during Sunday's overtime loss to West Virginia.

Impact:
Cotton shot 6-of-12 from the field, including 3-of-6 from three point land, in the full 45 minutes. It was his fifth straight game scoring at least 15 points and he's hit at least three three pointers in each of those contests.

02.06.12

Gerard Coleman had 30 points, five rebounds, one assist, two steals and a blocked shot during Sunday's overtime loss to West Virginia.

Impact:
The 30 points were a season-high for Coleman, who shot 9-of-15 from the field and 12-of-16 from the free throw line. He's had a bit of an up-and-down scoring effort as of late, scoring more points Sunday than he had in the prior four games combined.

02.06.12

MarShon Brooks (toe) will be out until at least Feb. 12, the New York Daily News reports.

Impact:
Monday night's contest against the Bulls will mark the fifth-straight game Brooks has missed with the broken toe. With Morrow (personal) also out, Jordan Farmar and Keith Bogans should receive more minutes against the Bulls.

02.06.12

Vincent Council had 16 points, nine assists, two rebounds and a steal during Sunday's overtime loss to West Virginia.

Impact:
Council played all 45 minutes but struggled a bit with his shot, going 6-of-17 from the floor, including 1-of-5 from deep. Nevertheless, he extended his double-digit scoring streak to 12 games.

02.06.12

Deniz Kilicli had 22 points, six rebounds and one assist during Sunday's overtime win at Providence.

Impact:
Kilicli played 37 minutes and shot 9-of-15 from the field and 4-of-5 from the free throw line. It was his first game this season scoring at least 20 points and he's now averaging 17.0 points and 7.5 rebounds over the last two games.

02.06.12

Kevin Jones had 20 points, five rebounds, one assist and three blocked shots during Sunday's overtime win at Providence.

Impact:
Jones shot 8-of-19 from the field, including 1-of-6 from deep, while playing the full 45 minutes. The five rebounds were his lowest output in the last seven games, although he extended his streak of scoring at least 20 points to nine games.

02.06.12

Darryl Bryant had 32 points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal during Sunday's overtime win at Providence.

Impact:
Bryant played the full 45 minutes Sunday and shot 11-of-22 from the field, including 5-of-12 from three point land. His fifth three pointer came with a second left in overtime that gave the Mountaineers the victory.

02.06.12

Nasir Robinson had four points, four rebounds, two assists and a blocked shot during Sunday's win over Villanova.

Impact:
Not a great game for Patterson, who shot 2-of-7 from the field after going back-to-back games without a miss. He played only 26 minutes due to foul trouble, his second straight game with that issue and he's scored only 13 points and grabbed only six rebounds in the last two games combined.

02.06.12

Lamar Patterson had eight points, three rebounds and two assists during Sunday's win over Villanova.

Impact:
A somewhat down game for Patterson, who fouled out after only 21 minutes of court time. He has gone back-to-back games scoring in single digits and it's tough to see him breaking out in the scoring column with Tray Woodall contributing more there on his own.

02.06.12

Ashton Gibbs had 25 points, two rebounds, one assist and one blocked shot during Sunday's win over Villanova.

Impact:
Gibbs shot 7-of-12 from the field, including 4-of-8 from three, and 7-of-7 from the free throw line. He's clearly back to himself after having to take over the point guard duties when Tray Woodall went down with an injury. Now that Woodall is back, Gibbs can get back to focusing on his scoring, which he clearly did Sunday.

02.06.12

Travon Woodall had 29 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals during Sunday's win over Villanova.

Impact:
Woodall did it all Sunday, shooting 7-of-12 from the field, including 3-of-6 from deep, and 12-of-12 from the free throw line. The 29 points were a season-high and the six rebounds were the most he's had since he returned from his abdominal injury. He seems to be fully healthy now and the Panthers have won four straight thanks to his steller play.

02.06.12

JayVaughn Pinkston had 10 points, five rebounds and two steals during Sunday's loss at Pittsburgh.

Impact:
Pinkston shot 2-of-7 from the field and 6-of-8 from the free throw line. It was his second straight game with at least eight free throw attempts, a nice increase after attempting only three in the prior two games.

Impact:
Cheek shot 5-of-10 from the field, including 3-of-6 from deep, but didn't attempt a free throw in 35 minutes. It was his third time in double figures over the last four games.

02.06.12

Chris Wilcox had 12 points in 12 minutes during the Celtics' win over the Grizzlies on Sunday.

Impact:
With Jermaine O'Neal and Kevin Garnett both in the waning years of their careers, Wilcox provides value off the bench, while also allowing the older starters to preserve themselves a bit more.

02.06.12

Kevin Garnett tied a season high with 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the Celtics' win over the Grizzlies on Sunday.

Impact:
KG may be a player on the slow decline, but he still has the occasional gem left in him, especially when his shot is falling. Garnett is shooting 55.8% from the field over his last three games, and has in fact made a three-pointer in each of his last three contests.
